Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is estimated to affect 3.5% of the global workforce.
This might not seem like a big number, however consider this:
Firstly, little research has been done on ADHD among adults. Up until very recently ADHD was considered as a “kids’ thing”. So we can only guess how many undiagnosed cases there are.
Secondly, what might look like a successful career very often comes at the expense of a person’s mental health. Adults with undiagnosed ADHD might struggle from procrastination, distraction, and a constant feeling of being overwhelmed. Do you recognise these traits in you or in one of your colleagues?
